Azamara to have two ships in Australian waters for the first time
Edited by Travel Weekly

Azamara Onward set sail on her first world cruise from Fort Lauderdale, Florida on January 5, visiting more than 40 countries in six continents during her incredible 155-night voyage.

Along the journey, she will and she is crossing paths with her sister ship Azamara Journey in Australia and New Zealand in February, marking the first time the Azamara has deployed two ships in Australasia at the same time.

Azamara Journey has been treating guests to incredible Australia and New Zealand itineraries and Azamara Onward’s 2024 world cruise sold out so quickly that Azamara has introduced additional world cruises for 2025 and 2026.

“It is wonderful to have two of our beautiful ships in local waters this year and their cruises have been extremely popular,” sales director (AU/NZ), Azamara, Victoria Chigwidden, said.

“I’m also thrilled to announce that in 2025, Azamara Onward and Azamara Pursuit will sail into Sydney Harbour together – another first for our much-loved cruise line.”

Long-time Azamara guests and new-to-cruise guests alike will enjoy a fresh perspective as Azamara Onward’s next two world cruises feature more ports of call, more valuable fare inclusions (worth up to AU$25,000) and more fabulous cultural AzAmazing Celebrations.

Azamara Onward’s 155-night, 2025 voyage starts in San Diego on January 6 and concludes in Southampton on June 11, 2025. Her 2026 World Cruise departs Miami on January 6, 2026 and will arrive in Barcelona 155 nights later, on June 11, 2026. Guests can book the full voyage or any of 10 segments in 2025 and 2026.

Both the 2025 and 2026 world cruises include 55 late-night departures and overnight stays in port, 60 extended destination days, three exclusive world cruise events and 10 AzAmazing events.
