Jogger air lifted to hospital following dingo attack on K’gari (FKA Fraser Island)

Pack of dingoes on Fraser Island

A woman has been flown to hospital after being attacked by four dingoes on Orchid Beach, K’gari.

It is understood the jogger was followed into the water by the wild dogs and suffered multiple bite wounds around 9 am this morning.

A rescue helicopter was dispatched to the east side of the island where paramedics began treating the injuries to the woman’s lower body and transported her to the Hervey Bay Hospital.

A Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service spokesperson said the full details of the attack are still unknown, though a full investigation will be conducted.

This is the latest in a run of attacks on the newly renamed island, in June, a boy was held underwater by a dingo and had to be rescued by his 12-year-old sister.

A video also emerged of a French tourist being bitten while sunbaking on the sand, the dingo was unfortunately euthanised.
