The 10 best views from Australian restaurants in time for Valentine’s Day

When it comes to picking a restaurant the first thing on the mind is the food options, though when looking for a meal with a view, some eatery’s can offer much more than others and this list will help you pick the best one for Valentine’s Day!

HawaiianIslands.com has crunched TripAdvisor data to identify the restaurants around the world in that reviewers most frequently note for their beautiful views.

By using a key search of the words ‘beautiful view’ on TripAdvisor, the team were able to collate a list of restaurants in 126 countries with those featuring the phrase beautiful view determined to be the restaurants with the best picture opportunities and sunset views.

It may not come as a surprise that the restaurant taking out number one position in Australia is situated on the iconic Sydney harbour. With views of the Opera House, Harbour Bridge and across to Luna Park, Café Sydney was deemed the favourite with the top ten looking like this:

  2. St Bernard’s Hotel, Tamborine Mountain
  3. The Edge restaurant, Montville
  4. SkyHigh Mount Dandenong, Mount Dandenong
  5. Chris’s Beacon Point Restaurant and Villas, Apollo Bay
  6. Picnic Point restaurant, Toowoomba
  7. The Signal Station, Hobart
  8. Flaxton Gardens restaurant, Flaxton
  9. Inner Light Tearooms, Nelson Bay
  10. Reef  restaurant, Terrigal

Other key findings from the resort include Mama’s Fish House on the Hawaiian island of Maui as the most beautiful view in the world, gathering over 1200 mentions on TripAdvisor.

London’s Aqua Shrad was the top UK restaurant in the study, racking up 910 mentions while 360 The Restaurant, Toronto’s at the CN Tower was the favourite Canadian option with 431 mentions.

Café Sydney scored 329 mentions to take top position, rounding out the top three was St Bernard’s Hotel with 113 mentions and Montville’s The Edge with 106.
