Aussie reality TV show returns to Samoa

Channel 10 has this week released the first promotional trailer for the upcoming Australian Survivor: Heroes v Villains, revealing the popular TV show will take viewers back to where it all began, beautiful Samoa.

Returning to the island of Upolu, where the series was shot in 2016 and 2017, the multi-channel promo showcases picturesque ocean and mountain aerial footage, teasing the beautiful beaches that contestants will “battle it out in gruelling challenges to come out on top”.

Set to air in January 2023, the new series will see 12 former Australian Survivor castaways divided into two tribes based on their status as either a ‘hero’ or a ‘villain’.

Team ranks will be bolstered with 12 new players from across the nation – identities of the full cast are yet to be unveiled.

Samoa Tourism Authority said: “We are excited to welcome back the Australian Survivor crew and have the cast ‘battle it out’ on our shores once again, and look forward to sharing a piece of our beautiful Samoa with the rest of the world as they watch on next year.”
