TravelManagers conference award winners revealed!

Concluding its amazing two-day conference, TravelManagers hosted its national awards and revealed the hot players within the brands group of PTMs.

The awards were presented at the closing Gala dinner of the conference following a full day of conference sessions, presentations, a trade show and the all-important group photos.

Support Award

The NPO Support Award is TravelManagers’ PTMs’ opportunity to recognise someone in its National Partnership Office who has gone ‘above and beyond’ in the past two years.

WINNER: David McCarthy – NPO

Recognition Award 

Recognition Award is voted by TravelManagers’ National Partnership Office staff for a PTM who always adheres to policy and procedure, engages with the business and other PTMs and is the all-round ‘Good Guy’.

WINNER: Di Yates – PTM Victoria

PTMs Choice Award 

The Choice Award is voted by PTMs to specifically recognise a fellow PTM.

WINNER: Michelle Kingston  PTM QLD

Denise Dean Advocate Award

Denise Dean Advocate award judged by the Partnership team, for recognition at a local level of advocates of the brand within the travel industry.

WINNER: Dan Brown – PTM NSW & Laurin Taggart – PTM NSW

Spirit Award

Spirit Award is to recognise someone whose everyday attitude and actions inspire and strongly influence the thoughts, feelings and behaviour of the staff at TravelManagers.

WINNER: Rebecca Owen – NPO

Excellence in Marketing 

TravelManagers’ 2022 marketing award recognises personal travel managers who, whilst facing changing consumer sentiment and the unpredictability of travel, have:

  • Learnt new marketing skills
  • Adapted to a changing market
  • Identified new marketing opportunities in their local community and online
  • Maintained connections with their existing audiences
  • Prepared their business and marketing plans for the recovery phase and
  • Promoted their value as a personal travel manager

WINNER: Ed Bradford – PTM Victoria

Supplier Choice Award

Supplier Choice- TravelManagers asked its supplier partners to nominate a PTM who they feel:

  • Has supported their brand
  • Has upheld the TravelManagers brand
  • Is sync with their and TravelManagers brand values

WINNER: Carli Hester – PTM Victoria

Supplier Partner of the Year

The Supplier Partner Award is voted by PTMs, nominating their favourite supplier who has supported their business in the past 2 years.

WINNER: HAL/Seabourn & RoomRes

The dinner was concluded with a heartfelt speech from Barry Mayo, the retiring chairman of TravelManagers, who reflected on his 60 years in the industry and commended the staff at TravelManagers for their hard work and resilience over the pandemic.
