Malaysia Airlines launches free trip incentive for agents

Zürich, Switzerland - December 05, 2007: Malaysia Airlines Boeing 777-200/ER departing Zurich airport. On 08 March 2014 this aircraft crashed as flight MH 370 from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing.

Malaysia Airlines premiered its Malaysia Bonus Side Trip Trade Incentive for Aussie travel agents yesterday as the country further eases COVID travel restrictions.

To win two return economy tickets to Malaysia, consultants need to sell the Malaysia Airlines Bonus Side Trip from 8 August until 2 October.

Four winners with the highest sales will win the tickets, plus eligible agents will go in the draw to snag weekly prizes.

These prizes are valid on Malaysia Airlines international tickets from Australia with a Bonus Side Trip to Alor Setar, Langkawi, Johor Bahru, Kota Bahru, Kuala Terengganu, Kuantan, and Penang for booking from now until 31 December 2022 for travel up to 31 March 2023.

To be eligible for the Bonus Side Trip, passengers have to book a flight with Malaysia Airlines from Australia or New Zealand to one of the following destinations: Sri Lanka, Nepal, Bangladesh, India, Qatar, Indonesia, Thailand, Singapore, Philippines, Vietnam, Myanmar, Cambodia, Hong Kong, China, Taiwan, Japan, Korea, and the United Kingdom.

The Bonus Side Trip offer is only applicable on MH year-round market fares (Basic and Flex). One free domestic return ticket (airfare only) is provided with taxes and surcharges to be paid by the passenger.

Giles Gilbert, regional manager for Malaysia Airlines ANZ, said: “We are excited that Malaysia has further eased restrictions making it effortless to travel to Malaysia.

“Malaysia Airlines’ Bonus Side Trip offers a superb opportunity for holiday goers to stopover and rediscover the beauty of Malaysia before continuing the journey to their holiday destination.

“Malaysia Airlines is appreciative of the support from the trade and would like to reward the top four sellers for the Bonus Side Trip with two return economy class tickets to Malaysia.

“Eligible agents will go into the draw to win weekly prizes. We look forward to having you onboard to experience our Malaysian hospitality.”

Malaysia Airlines is gradually increasing flights from Australia to Kuala Lumpur as demand increases for international trips again.

From 1 August 2022, all travellers have been allowed to enter Malaysia regardless of their COVID-19 vaccination status and do not require a pre-departure or on-arrival COVID-19 test.

Travellers entering Malaysia will also no longer have to complete the Traveller’s Card in the MySejahtera app.
