Jackson Hole reveal what’s new for the Winter 22/23 season

Jackson Hole Mountain Resort (JHMR) in Wyoming has revealed a series of new updates for its winter season.

JHMR will bid farewell to the original Thunder lift that was installed in 1994 and will replace it with a new high-speed quad chairlift ahead of the 2022-23 winter season.

Construction and installation of JHMR’s new Thunder lift is expected to begin shortly after May 2022 and is expected to finish in October 2022.

JHMR has approximately 220 acres of snowmaking coverage and plans to add more for the 2022/23 winter season. JHMR will add over seven acres of coverage to one of the most popular trails at JHMR, Crags Run, located to the right when unloading atop the Teton lift.

JHMR has implemented the ability to reserve lift tickets online in advance.

The resort manages daily capacity to ensure optimal experiences on-snow, so people can spend less time waiting in lines.

JHMR is powdered using 100 per cent green energy derived from wind turbines. The Jackson Hole community strives for sustainable tourism, in that both guests and hosts take responsibility to ensure sustainability is addressed and maintained.

JHMR has expanded its mountain biking with four new downhill trails accessed via Sweetwater Gondola.

The new trails include: Solitoga, the longest trail at the park, Deer Jumps, which is the ideal mix of flows and jumps, Dirty Harry, the most challenging new trail, and Deepest Darkest, which is a fun ride for bikers of any skill level.

New at the JHMR in terms of lodging is the Jackson Hole Resort Lodging (JHRL), which is built for long term stays.

There is also The Cloudveil, located on Jackson’s Town Square and draws upon the town’s signature western style.

And The Rusty Parrot, a unique family-run 32-room is one of the top small luxury hotels in the world.
