“Bounce back and inspire”: Collette to host key players in Cairns

Collette is set to host a travel forum in Cairns this week with key players in the Australian tourism industry ready to discuss plans to bounce back from what has been an incredibly challenging two and a half years

To be held at Crystalbrook Flynn Resort from 18-20 May 2022, the conference theme is “bounce back and inspire”, focussing on the future and exciting opportunities in the market.

Collette’s CEO, Dan Sullivan, will be attending, flying all the way from Rhode Island in the US alongside other attendees including some of Australia’s top travel players like Fiona Dalton, general manager of Virtuoso and Brett Dann, managing director of Hunter Travel.

Michael Healy, MP Cairns and Assistant Minister for Tourism Industry Development and Olympic Gold medalist Steven Bradbury, OAM are also set to attend.

“We are optimistic that the overseas demand for tourism into Australia is on the way up, in particular from the Canadian and US markets,” Sullivan said.

“Collette will resume its Australia and New Zealand tour offerings from September 2022, with dates already booked through to mid-2023 for new tours such as Australia and New Zealand Uncovered.

“We are excited to be hosting this travel forum with our industry partners to share inspiring stories and look at opportunities for growth to and from Australia in the future.”

Since the start of the pandemic, Collette has run over 1,500 departures, managing the numerous changes in travel restrictions that were in place at the time.

Collette’s commitment to prioritising full refunds over travel credits has seen the company refund over $250 million to happy customers worldwide since the beginning of the pandemic.

This commitment to customer satisfaction is also evidenced by an average two minute wait time when contacting Collette’s Reservations Call Centre in Sydney.
