Carnival Cruise Line and Cunard announce Aussie sailings

Carnival Cruise Line today announced its first cruise back in Australian waters in over two years while Cunard followed suit.

Departing from Sydney on 2 October 2022, guests on board will have the opportunity to reacquaint themselves with the Carnival Splendor on this three-day getaway cruise.

With over 45 onboard activities to explore including the Green-Lightning thrill-slide, family-friendly shows, dining experiences, and more, Carnival Splendor’s first Australian cruise in over 930 days is the perfect sampler to reignite your love for cruising.

On the cruise, Carnival Cruise Line Australia VP, Kara Glamore, said: “Thanks to a scheduling availability, we’re extremely pleased to welcome guests back on board Carnival Splendor earlier than expected.

“Splendor’s departure from Seattle earlier this week marked the restart of the entire Carnival Cruise Line fleet, so it’s great that she will be kicking off our season in Australia ahead of our 10th Aussie birthday in October.”

Carnival Splendor’s three-day cruise departs Sydney on 02 October 2022 and fares start from $437 AUD per person twin share interior.

Cunard unveiled over 110 international voyages, sailing on its iconic fleet between 23 October 2023 and 14 May 2024, including Queen Elizabeth’s homeport season down under and the maiden voyages on the new ship Queen Anne.

Cunard 2023/24 Sailings

For the 2023/24 programme, guests can choose between two fares at launch, the Cunard Fare and the new Early Saver Fare offering a reduced fare for the cost-conscious travellers during launch period.

Across the new itineraries, the four-ship fleet comprising of Queen Mary 2, Queen Victoria, Queen Elizabeth, and Queen Anne, will call at 126 unique ports in 51 countries, with voyages ranging from two-night city breaks to a 108-night world voyage.
