Uniworld launches its first ‘Mystery Cruise’

Uniworld launches its first ‘Mystery Cruise’

Uniworld is spicing up its offering with its first-ever ‘Mystery Cruise’ and triple discounts for 2022 group trips.

The boutique river cruise company has announced an exclusive, one-off, 10-day cruise hosted by its CEO and president, Ellen Bettridge, and curated by the Uniworld team.

Departing on 12 June 2022 in Europe, the trip will feature over-the-top, unique experiences both on and off the ship.

The catch? Passengers won’t know their itinerary until they are on board.

In the weeks leading up to departure, Uniworld will send those booked various clues as well as a packing list to prepare.

“It’s an incredible bucket list trip full of surprises for those that love the thrill of adventure; the biggest surprise being the itinerary reveal that will only happen when our guests are already on their way to the airport,” Bettridge said.

“With vaccines rolling out and borders opening up, our guests have communicated that they’re willing to travel anywhere just to get back out there and explore the world once again.

“After this chaotic year, there’s no need to take on any additional stress, so we’ve taken care of all of the details so that our guests can sit back and enjoy this mystery trip of a lifetime.”

To give agents a boost with their 2022 bounce back, Uniworld is offering some special discounts on group trips, including up to triple discounts for bookings of 10 guests or more.

Clients can save up to $2,400 per person, score bonus shipping credits of up to $260 per person, 50 per cent off single supplements for three guests per group, and a free berth for every 10th guest.

Alice Ager, general manager of Uniworld in Australia, said: “It’s been a tough year for travel and understandably consumer confidence has been low, Aussies have been reluctant to commit to future overseas travel plans.

“What we’re seeing is a huge uptake in groups business – bookings for 10 or more guests.

“We are being contacted more and more by agents who are focusing on curating their own small groups to drive bookings.

“Many are planning to escort their clients on the cruise, giving even further peace of mind for the guest – and this is driving fantastic results.

“We want to support this trend by offering even better conditions to support our partners in their recovery.”
