A true feast for the senses: Paddock to plate in the Central Coast hinterland

A true feast for the senses: Paddock to plate in the Central Coast hinterland

The Central Coast hinterland has opened its doors to the rest of NSW, and what better way to experience all the region has to offer than with some real-life, paddock-to-plate action?

In the latest instalment of the four-part Harvest Festival TV social media series created by Central Coast Council along with creative agency The Misfits, host Ally Burnie discovers the real meaning of paddock to plate during a visit to Silver Gully Farm, a family-run cattle stud in Mangrove Mountain.

Cooking up a feast with local Central Coast chef Pauly Mac, Burnie learns how to cook some tasty tacos using all the beautiful local produce that’s available in the hinterland region.

The episode also explores Silver Gully Farm and how this family-run cattle stud is able to bring to life its paddock to plate experience in the Central Coast hinterland.

Silver Gully Farm is well worth a visit (and you can even buy a pasture-raised, homegrown beef package to take home with you).

Check out the second episode for yourself below:

You can also watch this episode of Harvest Festival TV and others on the Harvest Festival Facebook page or the council’s new Coast Connect YouTube channel.
