Show Group announces new general manager

Show Group has announced the appointment of Cherie Drummond (pictured right) to the position of general manager.

Drummond has had a successful career to date within the travel industry, most recently working with CTM in a senior leadership position for the past nine years, and prior to this with BCD Travel, Harvey World Travel and Delta International Travel.

 

 

 

Intrepid Group appoints Leigh Reynolds as partnership growth manager for SA and WA

Intepid Group has announced the appointment of Leigh Reynolds in the role of partnership growth manager for South Australia and Western Australia; replacing Cara Toovey, who has been appointed regional partnership growth manager for SA, WA and NSW.

Reynolds joins the Intrepid Group team, having previously spent the last two years as the business development manager for Topdeck Travel for SA and the NT.

Prior to that, he was a wholesale consultant with Infinity Holidays, and was also a travel consultant with Fligth Centre Travel Group.

Hayman Island by InterContinental has strengthened its commitment to talent development and innovation, announcing an ambitious team to guide the resort into a new era of luxury from 1 July 2019.

These new hires join a family of more than 375,000 colleagues in over 100 countries, working in IHG’s hotels and corporate offices globally to deliver true hospitality.

The new recruits include: Adam Leonard (director of sales); Gabriella Highman, Erin Williams and Mausumi Barooah (business development managers); Rebecca Murthen (events executive for weddings and social); Amanda Burleigh (spa manager); Joshua Dows (director of restaurants and bars); Erwin Jones (director of kitchens); and Anthony Kramer (executive sous chef).

TravelManagers recently appointed two additional state-based business partnership managers to its support team – a move that the company describes as further cementing its position as Australia’s number one home-based travel business.

One of the new arrivals is Sally McCallum (pictured above), who is assuming responsibility for personal travel managers (PTMs) based in the ACT and Southern and Central West New South Wales. McCallum is joined by Leah McGrath, who will be working with PTMs in Northern Victoria.

Air Vanuatu announces Melbourne team expansion ahead of new direct flight launch

Air Vanuatu, Vanuatu’s national carrier, is excited to announce two new appointments to its Melbourne team, including Amanda Board as regional sales representative for the Southern Region, and Allan Hutchison as airport services manager, commencing 23 April 2019.

Louis T Collection appoints new project manager

Hospitality group Louis T Collection is expanding its building solutions arm this month with the appointment of Scott Reid as project manager.

The Brit brings with him over 20 years of experience in the construction industry, and joins the company in the midst of a major renovation and repositioning of Louis T’s first Australian property.

With over two decades of construction experience, Reid has worked across Europe and Asia in a variety of roles from erecting log cabins in idyllic locations to supervising multi-million-dollar construction projects for hotel developments.

His most recent position was with Thai company Development Management Asia as construction project manager. In this role, Reid supervised a number of large-scale refurbishments and new builds in the hospitality sector on Koh Samui, Thailand.
