Morgan and Savage join Intrepid CEO James Thornton and the company’s co-founders Darrell Wade and Geoff Manchester on the board. Wade will continue as executive chairman.

Thornton said that having two extremely high-calibre individuals joining Intrepid’s board is a huge endorsement for the business, its broader expansion plans and its purpose.

“As we grow, we need to continue to bring diversity of opinion and new expertise to the table,” he said.

“Not only because it provides fresh perspective on any challenges we will face, but because it provides the platform for the innovative thinking we believe will continue to drive our growth with purpose.”

The appointments are another example of Intrepid’s commitment to taking measurable action to improve gender equality in its workforce, with the group now boasting 40 per cent female representation on its board.

Travel Weekly is continuing to champion and celebrate female representation in the industry with the Women in Travel Awards 2019. Click here for more info.
