SALA Hospitality Group pioneering sustainability initiatives across all seven properties in Thailand
SALA Hospitality Group (SHG) is continually developing new environmental initiatives and procedures to minimise ecological impact at all of its seven luxury beach resorts and boutique accommodations across Thailand.
According to the recent year-end audit, SHG’s SALA Samui Choengmon Beach Resort alone has eliminated nearly 65,000 single-use plastic bottles, 53,000 plastic bags and 38,000 so far. The sustainability movement will drive the group to further deplete their existing supplies and identify alternatives to single-use plastic in the brand-new 2019.
China World Hotel, Beijing – an icon re-defined in the heart of China’s capital
China World Hotel, Beijing, a landmark hotel in China’s capital city, today unveiled 126 newly refurbished Horizon Club rooms and suites, after a much-anticipated renovation that began in early 2016. The hotel is located in the heart of the China World Trade Centre, the focal point of Beijing’s business — Central Business District (CBD).
The newly refurbished club rooms on Level 18 to 20 enjoy superb city views of the CBD skyline, the 3rd Ring Road, and Chang An Avenue.
New multi-function rooms on Level 19 and 20, can now offer large delegations greater privacy and convenience. Guests staying on the Horizon Club floors will have exclusive access to the new club lounge on Level 3.
This is in addition to enjoying exclusive privileges and benefits, such as a separate hotel entrance, a selection of revitalizing detox juices, daily American buffet breakfast and evening cocktails.

AccorHotels paints the town rainbow to celebrate 2019 partnership with the Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras Festival
For the second consecutive year, AccorHotels is proud to announce the title of Official Accommodation Partner of the 2019 Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras Festival. To celebrate, AccorHotels has enlisted the help of ‘Shebeast’, the apt drag name of Gavin Loveday, Pullman Sydney Hyde Park’s Associate Director of Sales and Marketing, to paint rainbow crossings across two of Sydney’s most renowned LGBTI+ friendly hotels.
A 3 metre rainbow crossing will be painted on the driveway of Pullman Sydney Hyde Park, the starting point of the Mardi Gras parade on March 2, located on Oxford Street. Pullman Sydney Hyde Park has deep roots within the LGBTI+ community, renowned for hosting their annual ‘Rainbow Lounge’ Mardi Gras pre-parade party.
Celebrated for their active ‘yes’ stance during the 2017 Same Sex Marriage Vote by transforming its 10 metre roof-top ‘Novotel’ sign to read YES-Vote-l, Novotel Sydney Darling Harbour will also make a splash with a rainbow painted crossing across their driveway in celebration of AccorHotels’ partnership of the 2019 Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras Festival.
In addition to the colourful painted crossings, AccorHotels will host an array of Mardi Gras Festival talent at its hotels and invite all its Sydney CBD hotels to animate their lobbies with activations and external signage displays throughout the festival from 15 February to 4 March.

Swiss-Belinn Expands Indonesian Portfolio With Modern Midscale Hotel In West Java
