There’s no denying that Instagram now plays a big role in how we travel.

You can use it to booking flights, choose restaurants, or just showing off your holiday.

For better or for worse, ‘Instagrammability’ even overtook ‘food’ and ‘culture’ in millennial travel priorities this year.

The platform has become a trendsetter in the travel space, and a crucial tool for those with their fingers on the industry pulse.

If you don’t feel like scrolling through the hashtags every day, Instagram has released its year in review stats so you can get up to date without wasting your whole morning.

In the realm of the land down under, our second most used hashtag was #Melbourne, followed by #Australia, #Sydney and #Instagood.

Number one was #love, but that’s neither here nor there.

Of course, Australia’s top account is Chris Hemsworth, who is also responsible for our popularity with American tourists after the notorious Crocodile Dundee revamp.
