WATCH: Brand USA launches video series to uncover hidden gems of the US

We all know the best way to have an authentic, one of a kind travel experience is to seek out local advice.

How else can you find all the hidden gems, tourist-free wonders and speciality foods?

That’s why Brand USA has created a new weekly series that does just that. Ask a Local aims to showcase local hidden gems throughout the USA by- you guessed it – asking a local.

Have you ever wanted to travel to Little Rock, Arkansas; Des Moines, Iowa or Houston, Texas? Have these destinations ever come up in a casual conversation? Most likely, your answer is no – and you are not alone. Travellers know next to nothing about these destinations, to no fault of their own.

So what could possibly draw domestic, let alone international, travellers to these destinations? The only people who could possibly answer that question are the people who actually live there.

And the best part? This content is available for free via Apple iOS devices, Roku, Apple TV and Amazon Fire TV.

Structured similarly to Netflix, the GoUSA TV app is easy to navigate and is filled with content designed to educate and inspire consumers to get out there and travel.

You can watch the videos here.
