This country is dominating overseas weddings

World Resorts of Distinction (WRD) has unveiled the hottest location of the season for destination weddings.

So if you’ve got wedding bells on the brain, or just like to secretly plan your future wedding, sans significant other, like us, then listen up.

The Gold Coast-based Creative resort agency has named Koro Sun Resort & Rainforest Spa as the wedding venue of choice for jet-setting brides and grooms.

The 160-acre resort is set in a remote paradise north of Vanua Levu in Fiji, surrounded by lush rainforest and a private azure lagoon. So it’s perfect for those who want to escape the hustle and bustle.

Beachfront

“Koro Sun boasts an experienced events team and a dedicated team member will be on-hand to assist couples throughout the entire process, from the planning phase right through until the end of big day, and will cater to special requests, such as intimate ceremonies; Fijian wedding costumes; professional flower arrangements and photographers; and traditional wedding cakes,”  WRD Resort Marketing Manager, Nina Richards said.

Table spread

Couples can choose from several breathtaking locations on the property, from the beachfront to the resort’s Seaside Patio, Main Bure, Mountain Top Villa, or any other favoured location.

For the adventurous-at-heart or those seeking a truly unique experience, Koro Sun Resort even offers underwater weddings.

Wedding arbour

Excuse us? Underwater weddings? We are equal parts intrigued and terrified by this concept.

“Inspired by the spirit of the South Pacific and infused with natural elements inspired by the rainforest, ceremonies at this resort are filled with chic tropical accents straight from the pages of a wedding magazine,” Richards said.

“The aisle runner is completely hand woven and the guest benches are handcrafted from fallen coconut palms and rain trees, while the tropical plants and rainforest offer a natural canopy within mother nature’s church.”
