AirAsia announces flights in Avalon Airport from December 5, 2018
AirAsia has recently announced the first international flights to Geelong’s Avalon Airport will commence from 5 December, 2018.
Business Events Geelong attended the AirAsia official launch event last night in Kuala Lumpur. showcasing what Geelong has to offer business event and incentive travellers.
Flights are due to depart twice daily connecting Geelong to over 130 destinations. Avalon Airport is located on 15 minutes from the Geelong CBD.
As a division of Tourism Greater Geelong and The Bellarine, Business Events Geelong Represents over 600 businesses in every aspect of the Meetings, Incentives, Conferencing and Exhibitons (MICE) markets. Assisting meeting, conference and incentive travel organisers to source venues, suppliers and locations for their next business event. 
Emirates announces competitive fares around the globe
Emirates has announced competitive faresacross its global route network, including fares toDubai,Europe and the United Kingdom, as part of a mid-year global offering. The dealis valid for those who book between 10 July and 30 July 2018, for select travel periods.
Passengers can enjoy competitive fares to more than 150 destinations, includingDubaias well as destinations across Europe,the Indian Subcontinent and North and South America among others. Economy Class passengers can enjoy fares starting from$999 to Dubai,$1,149 to the Indian Subcontinent, $1,179 to Europe, $1,199 to the United Kingdom and $1,489 to North America.
While Business Class passengers can enjoy fares starting from $5,699 to the Indian Subcontinent, $5,999 to Dubai, $6,289 to Europe, $6,499 to the United Kingdom and $6,999 to North America.
This comes following recent changes to Emirates’ global route network, with enhancements on itsservicesto Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane. Emirates has also announced new services to London Stansted and Edinburgh, highlighting its commitment toconnecting passengers around the world.
Etihad Airways adds a new range of buy on board products, including premium local snacks
In addition to its complimentary inflight service and recently launched menu of Buy on Board products, Etihad Airways has introduced additional food and beverage items available for purchase to provide more choice for guests in Economy Class and further enhance their travel experience.
New snack options now include locally sourced brands Munchbox and Freakin’ Healthy, who promise to deliver healthier food options using natural ingredients, no added sugar and are GMO free. Now also available on board are Hunter’s Gourmet Potato and Vegetable Crisps which are all hand cut with no artificial colours, trans fat or preservatives, and are also GMO free.
The new and existing range of products will be available on long-haul and ultra long-haul flights. Items available for onboard purchase:

Emirates opens first dedicated airport lounge in Cairo
Emirates has unveiled its 42nd dedicated lounge across its global network at Cairo International Airport (CAI). The lounge is now open to Emirates First Class and Business Class customers as well as Platinum and Gold members of Skywards, the airline’s loyalty programme.
Reflecting the airline’s ongoing commitment to Egypt, the Emirates Lounge in Cairo represents a US$3.6 million investment to provide premium customers with a seamless and enjoyable journey.
Catering to three daily flights, the lounge offers customers even greater levels of comfort, hospitality and convenience as they start their Emirates experience in Cairo. Located at Departure Terminal 2, Level two, above the secondary security check & Duty Free area, Emirates’ customers can look forward to relaxing, unwinding and enjoying award-winning service and cuisine.
The lounge was formally opened with a ribbon-cutting ceremony led by Eng. Ahmed Youssef, Chairman of the Egyptian Tourism Promotion Board; Mohammed H Mattar, Emirates’ Divisional Senior Vice President – Emirates Airport Services; and Thani Al Ansari, Country Manager, Egypt, Emirates.
