Qantas Holidays is delighted to announce the annual Race Around Incentive for 2018 is heading to Southern California!
Race Around 2018 will see 40 leisure consultants calling on their specialist knowledge, team spirit and endurance as they take on Southern California for six exciting days this September.
Departing on 9 September 2018, the 40 top selling consultants will be split into four teams of ten, with each team taking on various challenges and activities around Southern California.
The exciting race style trip will see teams accumulate points through completing each challenge, culminating with a Gala Dinner where the winning team will be announced and crowned the title of Race Around Winners 2018.
Points to win a place on the Race Around are allocated based on international tickets issued on Qantaspaperthrough Air Tickets or self-plate, or for every passenger on a Qantas Holidays or international land package.
Bonus points are up for grabs for every Qantas International ticket issued on Qantas paper through Air Tickets or self-plate if the destination is Los Angeles, for every passenger on a Qantas Holidays package including Avis Car Rental or for every passenger on a Qantas Holidays international air and land package where the destination includes one of the locations on the Race Around itinerary
MTA out in strength at inaugural CLIA ‘Asia River Cruise Conference & Destination Forum’

The 10-strong team led by MTA Cruise & Wholesale Product Manager, Rhona Rodgers had the opportunity to meet the high-profile foodie and APT Travel Group brand ambassador while attending a CLIA reception at his recently-opened restaurant ‘Vietnam House’ hosted by APT.
While in Vietnam, the MTA team will also have the opportunity to experience a Mekong River cruise with luxury small ship river cruise specialist Pandaw.
The Naka Phuket and La Flora Patong wrap up another successful sales mission to Australia
The Naka Phuket and La Flora Patong wrapped up their Australian sales mission last week to promote both Phuket properties to the Aussie market.
The sales mission started on the 9th April in Sydney and finished last Thursday in Melbourne.
Nuch from the Naka and Mandy from La Flora held meetings & product updates for both properties to key trade partners in travel wholesale, retail, NTO’s & destination wedding specialists with a focus on the properties wedding offerings.
The Naka being perfect for the choice of wedding venues from the sea to luscious green lawns and La Flora having the perfect central location right on Patong Beach where weddings can be held on the hotels roof with spectacular views of the beach and ocean behind.
Top sellers get Intrepid
Last week, 70 top sellers from Flight Centre in Australia and New Zealand took part in The Intrepid Group Mega Famil. Five small group adventures took place across East Nepal, North India, Sri Lanka, South India and West Nepal before coming together in Goa for the Intrepid Group Adventure Travel Summit and a holi party.
During the Summit, agents learnt of Intrepid’s new brand campaign ‘Be Intrepid’, trends in adventure travel and Intrepid’s latest initiatives in responsible travel.
Last week’s Mega Famil was the perfect way to reward and inspire the top sellers from Flight Centre. The theme this year was ‘Be Intrepid’.
Ignite Travel Group rides 2763Kms to Fiji to raise funds for Cure Kids Fiji
When Ignite Travel Group elected Cure Kids Fiji as their dedicated charity, they took a number of steps to engage the entire Ignite Travel Group family for support.
Among the fundraising activities were a Raw Challenge obstacle courses, office donation jars, lunchtime BBQs on their Broadbeach office balcony, sold off old office furniture & computers, conducted raffles, and most recently, undertook a Ride To Fiji challenge.
This bike-a-thon commenced on Fiji Day where the group set out to collectively cycle the distance from their office to Fiji on 2 stationary exercise bikes—a total distance of 2763km.
The company holds Fiji very close to heart having launched their first dedicated destination brand My Fiji back in 2009 which is now part of the My Holiday Centre suite of brands.
