Penny Spencer a finalist in Telstra Women’s Awards

The Spencer Group’s Founder and all-round lovely human Penny Spencer has been named a finalist for Telstra’s NSW Entrepreneur of the Year, a category in the telco’s Business Women’s Awards.

The honour follows a series of recent accolades for Spencer and her team.

The company was named in SmartCompany’s list of Australia’s Top 30 female entrepreneurs for the second time, Spencer Travel was named Best Corporate Travel Agency – Single Location at the NTIA Awards, and her group of travel companies featured in the Financial Review’s 2017 list of Australia’s Top 500 Private Companies.

Speaking about the nomination, Spencer said, “I’m thrilled (and nervous!) about being named a finalist in the 2017 Telstra Business Women’s Awards.”

“The awards submission process was exhausting, and I’m honoured to find myself alongside some truly remarkable women in the New South Wales Entrepreneurs category. I wish each finalist the very best of luck,” she added.

The Telstra Business Women’s Awards is Australia’s longest running women’s awards program.

For more than 20 years, the Awards have championed women from diverse industries ensuring their achievements become part of the national conversation.
