How to spend 24 Hours in Amsterdam
Amsterdam’s famed Pulitzer Amsterdam, a historic hotel of 25 canal houses with over 400 years of heritage, has officially landed on the Keizersgracht with quintessential Dutch elegance and style.
Blending modern and traditional influences, the design concept is inspired by a contemporary twist on the elegant gables of Amsterdam’s canal houses, which give the city its unique skyline and architecture.
The Pulitzer Amsterdam is located in the heart of the old city centre of Amsterdam, in the Nine Streets on the doorstep of the colourful Jordaan neighbourhood. Nearby guests will find the Royal Palace, several well-known museums, theatres and shopping area.
To celebrate its arrival, Pulitzer Amsterdam have shared the ultimate 24-hour journey of discovery.
10.00 am – Pulitzer Concierge Tour
Join The Pulitzer’s Concierges on a walk through Amsterdam. Visit all of their favorite places and enjoy some delicious local stops along the way. See the city through the eyes of a (very knowledgeable) local. The tour is €29.50 per person, €15 per child under 12 Tuesday to Saturday from 9.30 am to 11.30 am.
12.00 pm – Lunch at Pause at Pulitzer
Recharge with sights of the soothing gardens or unwind on the outside terrace, surrounded by the striking canal houses. A gem, hiding in plain sight and a leafy oasis of tranquility for anyone who needs to pause.
1.00 pm – Amsterdam by bike
Biking is a way of life in Holland and the Amsterdammers are no exception. The city currently houses more bikes than people and has 500 kilometres of dedicated bike paths.
Ask the Concierge about the Pulitzer bicycles so you can start exploring the city as a local. Pulitzer Bicycles are €16 for the first day and €13 for every following day.
3.00 pm – Pulitzer Gardens
Relax at the Pulitzer Gardens which occupy a surprising green oasis nestled at the center of the hotel. Away from the hustle and bustle of the city, it is a tranquil hide-away to relax, work or socialise among seasonal plants and playful sculptures.
4.00 pm – Discover all of the Pulitzer
A stay at the Pulitzer is a historical discovery with a long and illustrious heritage dating back to the Golden Age. The hotel is set within twenty five restored 17th and 18th century houses. Wander around in our maze of stories, secrets and surprises…
5.00 pm – Boat Tour
There is no better way to see Amsterdam than from the water. Pulitzer’s classic salon boat from 1909 is easy on the eyes to say the least. This sea-faring stunner has all of the classic characteristics you would expect: polished teak and brass, traditional carpeting, marble, leather and beveled glass.
A cruise down the canals on this beautiful vessel, is an Amsterdam adventure you will never forget. The boat tour is€38 per person , and departs daily at 5 pm with an extra departure at 11am from Friday to Sunday. the cruise lasts 75 minutes.
7.00 pm – Dinner at Jansz
Jansz is an effortless yet upscale all-day dining restaurant that respects the simplicity of quality ingredients. Beautifully crafted modern classics get an easygoing Dutch attitude while international flavors excite and amaze in the most humble way.
10.00 pm – Drinks at the Pulitzer’s Bar
Pulitzer’s hotel bar is a timeless classic. The kind of place where the glasses weigh more than your shoes and sitting on the leather lounges feels like a really good man-hug. Sip on classic cocktails and the finest beverages while enjoying views over the canals.
09.00 am – Breakfast in bed or at Jansz
Indulge with a breakfast in bed served by room service or enjoy an extensive breakfast buffet with views over the canals at Jansz.
10.00 am – Shopping in the Nine Streets
The Pulitzer is located in the Nine Streets on the doorstep of the colourful Jordaan neighbourhood. The picturesque Nine Streets is a boutique-shopping hub and full of charming cafes and some of the city’s best restaurants.
