Bachelor’s Nikki invited to NT to find a real catch

The Bachelor left Australia reeling with crowd favourite Nikki Gogan missing out on the final rose from Bachelor Richie Strahan, but an invite from Territorians could see her catch a better fish.

Northern Territory Tourism has invited Nikki to visit the tropical Top End and take part in the Million Dollar Fish challenge, where one hundred barramundi have been tagged with $10,000 and one with a whopping $1 million.

And with the latest population figures from the Australian Bureau of Statistics revealling that there are 112 men for every 100 women in the Territory, there is also an opportunity for Nikki to catch a ‘fish’ on dry land, with the NT boasting the highest male to female ratio in Australia.

Tourism NT’s Director Domestic Marketing, Suzanne Morgan says “it’s ladies’ choice up here in the NT, while women elsewhere across the country have to deal with Australia’s well-documented man-drought, in the NT we’re lucky enough to be experiencing a ‘man-soon!’

“The old saying that there’s plenty of fish in the sea is definitely true up north,” she continued. “Since things might not have gone according to plan for Nikki on The Bachelor, we genuinely want to invite her to have better luck in the NT. If she reaches out to us, we’ll make it happen.”

The invitation could see Nikki enjoying all the Top End has to offer, including its outdoor adventure, vibrant food scene, famous sunsets, stunning natural landscapes and luxury accommodation.

The opportunity to take part in Season Two of the Million Dollar Fish challenge is open to all Aussies. With 101 chances to catch a prize-tagged barra, and $160,000 worth of prizes up for grabs, would-be millionaires need to register at www.milliondollarfish.com.au.
