Orbit World Travel rebrand and NZ expansion

World Travel Professionals is strengthening its partnership with New Zealand corporate travel company Orbit Travel, rebranding to Orbit World Travel as of 1 July 2016.

Executive Director, Michael Chase-Smith said World Travel Professionals recognised an opportunity to expand its business to better support our clients in today’s fast evolving business world, encompassing Australia, New Zealand, regionally and globally.

“We also appreciate that Australia and New Zealand are different markets with their own unique needs, so while we will operate as one brand, we will continue to acknowledge that both Australian and New Zealand business travel needs can differ. Our client’s want their business needs to be tailored to the market they do business in but see great value in a single source offering,” Chase-Smith added.

Group Strategy Director of Orbit World Travel in New Zealand, Niall White said that, “after working with World Travel Professionals for many years, it was clear our companies have an aligned culture and similar values. Our business propositions both aim to provide clients with tailored, personalised business travel experiences and solutions – understanding that no one company is the same. Bringing Orbit and World Travel Professionals together is a big move for the business travel market across Australasia.”

The Orbit World Travel’s Trans-Tasman offer will bring together products, services and solutions to offer a greater level of consistency of service, technology and client management for companies operating in both markets.

Orbit World Travel now boasts combined annual sales revenue of $500 million AUD, over 1,200 corporate clients, 330 staff and many years of travel management experience.
