Cruise360 program launched

Passengers disembark from the largest cruise ship in the World to date the Oasis of the Seas (225,000 tons 6300 passengers) She is docked next to the Serenade of the Seas (90,000 tons 2100 passengers).

Program details for the annual Cruise360 Australasia industry conference have been released.

Taking place at the Star Event Centre on Friday September 16, Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA) Australasia confirmed its CEO Cindy D’Aoust will take centre stage as the headline act for the event.

In her first visit to Australia since assuming the helm at CLIA, D’Aoust will make the opening address on the global state of the industry.

The conference marks the third Cruise360 to be staged in Australia, with this year’s focus on the theme of Navigating the Future.

Panelists from leading cruise lines will include P&O Cruises President Sture Myrmell, Ponant Chairman Asia Pacific Sarina Bratton, Royal Caribbean International Managing Director Australia New Zealand Adam Armstrong, Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings Executive Vice President International Business Development Harry Sommer and APT Executive General Manager Global Sales and Marketing Debra Fox.

Social researcher and bestselling author Michael McQueen will present a keynote speech on the “Battle for Relevance”, addressing how cruise-focused agents can ensure future success by making the most of opportunities brought about by rapid change.

Meanwhile business commentator Ross Greenwood will MC the event.

CLIA Australasia Commercial Director Brett Jardine said Cruise360 was the must-attend event for travel agents looking to increase their share of the booming cruise industry.

“Each year, Cruise360 gets bigger and better. With a high profile MC, an impressive field of guest speakers and a comprehensive trade show, this year’s program will help agents navigate the future of cruising,” Jardine said.

“Cruise360 will be the perfect forum to educate and inspire agents as we head into another record summer cruise season.”

CLIA members can purchase early booking tickets for $250 (including GST) until July 31, 2016.

    1. …that’s really strange… if its the perfect forum to educate and inspire agents, why then do agents need to pay fees to get into the forum… wouldn’t it be the whole cruise industry that will benefit from it if all agents are aware of whatever info they need to know about selling cruises to the public… get the bloody cruise operators pay for them….
