Australian hotels are hot property

Four Australian properties have featured on Expedia’s 2015 Insiders’ Select rankings, an annual crowd-sourced list of the world’s best hotels.

Insiders’ Select listed properties are recognised as hotels that consistently deliver value in terms of competitive prices, pristine amenities and superior customer service that sees them maintain a minimum guest score of 4.7 out of 5 on the Expedia website.

The top-ranked Australian hotel was the 4.5 star Xanadu Main Beach Resort on the Gold Coast.

In Melbourne, both the Quay West Suites and Hotel Lindrum made the list, as well as the Mantra Boathouse Apartments at Airlie Beach in The Whitsundays.

Expedia Travel Expert, Kelly Cull said, “It’s encouraging to see four Australian hotels recognised by the global Expedia community as world class, delivering an outstanding guest experience time and time again.”

Expedia’s Insiders’ Select list is in its eighth year running, and lists 650 elite global properties compiled by from over two million Customer Verified reviews, reflecting the direct customer feedback users from Expedia, Inc. websites worldwide.

At the top of the list was the 4 star Royal Palm Hotel in Bermuda, followed by Calenga Apartments in Dubrovnik, Croatia. Approximately 50 percent of the list were US hotels.

Expedia.com visitors can find the Insiders’ Select-designated properties, which will feature an Expedia Insiders’ Select badge on their hotel description page.

“By aggregating feedback from millions of customers, we are able to give our customers information they need to make planning and booking their holidays easier,” said Cull.

  8. Santhiya Koh Phangan Resort & Spa, Koh Phangan, Thailand
  9. Hotel Orion Motobu Resort & Spa, Motobu, Japan
  10. Best Western Premier Weinebrugge, Bruges, Belgium
