A touch of Sage for Wollongong

A touch of Sage for Wollongong

SilverNeedle Hospitality is taking to the Gong to expand its coastal presence.

Wollongong’s Chifley hotel has officially emerged from its cocoon a beautiful Sage Hotel butterfly, after SilverNeedle rebranded the beach property.

Sage Hotel Wollongong features 168-rooms that give glimpses of the beach, as well as 13 function spaces that can cater to more than 400 guests.

As a Sage Hotel, guests receive complimentary Wi-Fi in their rooms with much welcomed mini bar offerings comparable to local convenience stores and laundry services at street pricing.

“We have placed great emphasis on staff training to ensure that we are able to deliver on our service promise as our goal is for guests to feel as though their stay at the hotel is an extension of their home, “ SilverNeedle Hospitality’s evp for the hotels division Sean Flynn said.

“This includes making the hotel a place where there is a sense of familiarity with our products and services and where guests feel that they are a part of this special community.”

Located just over an hour south of Sydney, Sage Hotel Wollongong sits moments from the Pacific Ocean, offering pristine beaches dotted with rockpools, ocean baths and golden sands just minutes from the city centre and adjacent to WIN sports and Entertainment Centre.

“Sage Hotel Wollongong is well-poised to meet the demands for contemporary 4-star accommodation sought by both the corporate market as well as leisure guests and families,” Sage Hotel Wollongong’s gm Paul Wilsher said.

“The short distance of this coastal town from bustling Sydney will resonate well with them and SilverNeedle Hospitality’s decision to launch the brand here is testament to the potential this city has to offer.”

The rebrand comes off the back of SilverNeedle announcing that a new-build Sage Hotel will soon crop up in West Perth in 2016.
