Become an Oman expert, and reap the rewards

Agents are finding the front line of Oman online, with more than one reason to get educated on the destination.

In fact, the Sultanate of Oman Tourism has three compelling reasons for agents to connect online.

Sultanate of Oman Tourism Australia & New Zealand is encouraging agents to complete its online training academy, and is highlighting the benefits of exciting enhancements coming to its website.

  1. Preferred Agent Status: If agents haven’t completed Oman Tourism’s online training modules, now is the time. Upon successfully completing the modules, agents are invited to register online as a Preferred Agent enabling consumers to find them.
  2. Mega Fam: Scheduled to travel in October but with final details to be confirmed, this is a rare opportunity for agents who have completed the online training modules to open doors to the secrets of Oman.
  3. Qualified Leads Distribution: Some upcoming enhancements to Sultanate of Oman Tourism’s website include a more user-friendly information architecture, interactive maps and product/experience search, and a new mechanism by which consumer leads will be distributed to agents who have completed the online training academy.

“We’re really excited about a suite of exciting activities and enhancements planned in both the short and longer term,” Sultanate of Oman Tourism’s country manager for Australia & New Zealand Mona Tannous said.

“More than ever before we encourage agents to engage with us online, complete the training modules and register as Preferred Agents.”

Getting the basic stuff down to a tee is another element at the heart of the training, according to national sales manager Sandra Cahill.

“Even though we’re truly innovating in some areas, in others we’re getting right back to basics by re-engaging the trade at the most fundamental levels to inspire agents to talk confidently about Oman with their clients,” Cahill said.

“The foundation of that confidence comes from our online training academy where we tell the stories of Oman, its secrets and fascinating history. From there fam trip opportunities and qualified business leads await.”

“We are receiving ever more enquiry from consumers looking for good agents to help them with their Oman holiday plans. It’s our job to find that perfect match.”

Agents can register here: http://training.tourismoman.com.au.

The training goes hand-in-hand with the new website refreshes, which Tourism Oman is unveiling for consumers and agents alike.

The website’s Explore section has been overhauled to be a showcase of products, experiences and destination info designed to deliver what-where-how insights into Oman travel research.

Significantly, consumer enquiry will be directed to agents who have completed Oman Tourism’s online training modules.

So, do the training and reap the rewards.
