Kris hot for Fiji

Model and presenter Kris Smith is clearly smitten with Fiji ever since he was sent there for Myer’s Spring/Summer 2014/15 Fashion Campaign shoot earlier this year and naturally, was Tourism Fiji's natural choice when choosing a brand ambassador.

As Celebrity Ambassador, Smith will use his public profile as a model to promote Fiji, one of Australia’s favourite spots to getaway to.

Announcing Kris as the first Celebrity Ambassador of the island paradise, Tourism Fiji regional director Australia Carlah Walton said he was the perfect choice.

"Kris loves to have the option of being active on a holiday or just relaxing. He's a keen golfer and a Dad,” Walton explained.

"Everyone knows children are treated as VIPs in Fiji and the locals love spoiling them at our kids' clubs."

Smith said Fiji absolutely lived up to its reputation as the holiday destination where happiness is found everywhere you look.

"You immediately feel at peace, happy and so relaxed,” he said.

“The natural beauty of the place, the friendly people, incredible range of activities and accommodation options make it my favourite holiday destination."

More than 300,000 Australians choose Fiji as their holiday destination each year for a family or romantic holiday, wedding, honeymoon, action, golfing or surfing holiday.
