As of next week Qantas will being to implement its new inflight entertainment program, enabling customers to choose from a wider variety as a result of its partnership with Sky News, Foxtel and Fox Sports.

Qantas Group Executive, brand marketing and corporate affairs, Olivia Wirth explained that Qantas' inflight entertainment will continue to be a defining feature of Qantas' on-board experience.

"From the latest in seat back technology to our G streaming service, Qantas is working hard to deliver the luxury of home entertainment in the sky." 

"By partnering with news and entertainment experts like Foxtel and Sky News we're able to deliver a greater variety of premium content on a more regular basis, just as our customers would experience at home."

Australian News Channel and Sky News, CEO Angelos Frangopolous shared his excitement of the new partnership with Qantas commenting, "For the first time, the latest news will be delivered to Qantas aircraft across the day, 365 days a year."

Likewise, Foxtels executive director of television, Brian Walsh announced that Foxtel was delighted to partner with Qantas and become a part of their impressive in-flight entertainment service.

"Foxtel will present a broad range of popular local programming from our top-rating channels giving Qantas customers an unmatched choice of content."

Sources from the airline intimated that the inflight entertainment system will be rolled out across the entire Qantas fleet, with no particular date set to begin on any specific airline class.
