Travelport scores another win in travel awards
By admin

Travelport has been awarded the Best GDS award for the sixth consecutive year at the 25th Annual TTG Travel Awards held in Bangkok on Thursday night.

The TTG Travel Awards recognise the best of Asia-Pacific’s travel industry, with the Best GDS award judging nominees on product, services, facilities and a professional sales and marketing team.

Votes are cast by travel consultants, tour operators and destination management companies in order to determine the winners, with a gala dinner hosted to honour the acclaimed organisations.

Travelport adds this win to a series of recent high-profile accolades in the Asia-Pacific region, including Best Technology Supplier at the Travel Agents’ Association New Zealand’s 2014 National Travel Industry Awards and Best Travel Agent Technology Innovation at the Australian Federation of Travel Agents’ National Travel Industry Awards.

“I am incredibly honoured to receive the Best GDS award on behalf of the Travelport Asia-Pacific team,” managing director for Asia-Pacific Mark Meehan said.

“This is a great testament to our commitment in providing the best service and products for our customers, delivered through our innovative Travel Commerce Platform.”
