The official launch of Etihad Airways new daily flight services between Perth and Abu Dhabi was held on 5 August 2014.

Held in the Western Australia capital, the event was hosted by the airlines chief commerical officer, Peter Baumgartner.

Baumgartner was delighted by the enthusiastic response received from his stakeholders and promised that Etihad Airways would not only offer guests a rewarding travel experience but invest in the economic prosperity of Western Australia.

Among the 300 guests was renowned artist Ronan Keating who was followed by a long list of other VIP’s.

Etihad Airways commenced daily, non-stop flights between Abu Dhabi and Perth on 15 July 2014 aboard the Airbus A330-200, carrying an additional 190,000 passengers each year to the Western Australian travel market.

Flight EY486 will depart Abu Dhabi at 22:10 and arrive in Perth at 13:10 a day later. The returning flight leaves Perth at 15:55 on EY487, arriving in Abu Dhabi at 23:25.
