Accor’s global loyalty program Le Club Accorhotels has been updated to offer more points per stay, increased flexibility to use points and a range of other privilieges.

The program currently has gathered more than 15 million members since it launched five years ago.

 

Back-Roads Touring has this week launched its UK and Europe Summer 2015 mega brochure with a host of new offerings being added to the range.

The 88-page brochure features 40 tours, including nine new tours and new summer destinations Switzerland, Germany and Austria.

 

French cruise line Compagnie du Ponant has appointed Australian adventurer and expedition consultant Mick Fogg to assist with development of expedition itineraries as it expands its Asia Pacific cruise content.

 As an award-winning wildlife photographer and adventurer, Mick Fogg has spent 17 years scouting and developing new itineraries, leading expeditions and photographing some of the world’s most remote and spectacular destinations from Antarctica to South East Asia. 

 

The International Air Transport Association (IATA) has announced global passenger traffic results for May show demand growth of 6.2% compared to May 2013.

The performance, despite representing a deceleration compared to April’s yearly growth, is indicative of improving demand drivers, with all regions except Africa experiencing positive traffic growth.

 

APT is launching a new USA brochure in conjunction with Independence Day, featuring two new cruises, two new land itineraries, and a range of new Signature Experiences and Freedom of Choice sightseeing.

APT general manager marketing and sales Debra Fox said the company was excited to add a new Columbia and Snake River cruise, coastal cruising around New England Islands and new Western US itineraries in addition to the Mississippi River Cruising.
