Travellers Choice has expanded its retail network across South Australia with the addition of four new member shareholders in key regional centres.

The new members are Travel and Cruise Ceduna, Argyle Travel, Beachport, Port Lincoln Travel and Cruise and Roxby Travel and Cruise.

They take Travellers Choice to a total of 16 members across the state and strengthen its regional presence.

 

The Association of Corporate Travel Executives (ACTE) in Australia/New Zealand and CAPA – Centre for Aviation have commenced an alliance partnership, which will see them collaborate on two educational and networking events this year.

The CAPA Corporate Travel Summit will take place on August 6 in Sydney and the ACTE Corporate Travel Education Conference will be held in December, also in Sydney.

 

Cathay Pacific has promoted Richiko Olrichs as its new direct sales manager for Australia.

This newly created role brings the management of the Sydney-headquartered customer sales office and the airline’s online sales team into a single department. 

In addition, Cathay confirmed the appointment of Franziska McCarthy as marketing communications manager, responsible for all Australian marketing activities including consumer and trade campaigns, advertising, social media, PR, sponsorship and the airline’s two loyalty programs, Asia Miles and Marco Polo Club. 

 

Adventure World’s Extraordinary World Trivia campaign is proving a hit with more than 3 million games played across Australia and New Zealand on desktop, mobile and tablet devices since it launched in mid-April.

There are still two weeks left for players to battle it out for a place amongst the top 100 in the online trivia contest with one of the lucky top 100 entrants will win a $20,000 Adventure World travel voucher to put towards their dream holiday, while five runners-up will receive a Canon Digital SLR EOS700D Camera Super Kit.

All entrants that register receive a $100 Adventure World travel voucher which can be redeemed with Adventure World or at travel agencies around the country.

 

Flight Centre Global Product (FCGP) – Corporate has appointed Rachael Thomas to the role of team leader for fc product solutions – formerly known as Flight Centre Travel Group's Global Client Hotel Programs.

Allison joins the property with 15 years serviced residences experience in Australia and beyond, including Melbourne, Sydney, Hobart and Auckland. 

 

Garuda Indonesia has launched a new global service concept in its First and Business Class cabins – part of its ongoing Quantum Leap program to become a five-star airline by 2015.

Business Class passengers on selected flights from Australia will be served a new fine dining concept with choice of three different menus.

First Class and Business Class passengers flying on Garuda Indonesia’s B777-300ER routes will also enjoy a chef-on-board service, complimentary chauffeur services, premium check-in, lounge access, immigration in-lounge as well as priority transfer and transit facilities. 

 

A new incentive for the top sellers of Club Med and Garuda air packages is offering them the chance to win a personal holiday at Club Med Bali with flights from Garuda.

There are five places up for grabs with the incentive period running from May 1 to June 30.

Winners must travel before 31 March 2015.
