Jetstar has become the first airline to operate a commercial 787 flight from Brisbane as it today launched a four times weekly service to Bali.

The carrier will also operate Dreamliner services between Brisbane and Hawaii from December.

The Australian Tourism Export Council (ATEC) has said it is reviewing a "range of options" to replace travel agent licensing as a criteria for membership of its distributor category.

An options paper has been prepared and will be discussed by the board, ATEC said.

Oaks Hotels and Resorts will open the 138-room Oaks Rivermarque Mackay in July, the company's first property in Mackay and its 21st in Queensland.

Etihad will increase its number of flights between Abu Dhabi and Athens from seven to 10 per week from July 2.

The carrier will also lift its frequency between Abu Dhabi and Larnaca from three per week to daily between July 1 and September 30 before reducing to five weekly service from October 1.
