Magellan Travel Group has confirmed three new members will join its ranks on April 1 – agencies Freeway Travel, Journeys by Design and Travel Diversity.

 

APT has launched its new 2015 Canada and Alaska with Mississippi River Cruising pre-release brochure.

Featuring a total of seven itineraries, the new brochure offers guests who book holidays from the brochure by 31 May 2014 to pay 2014 prices.

 

Etihad and airBaltic have expanded their codeshare agreement to include routes from Amsterdam, Brussels, Frankfurt, Munich and Zurich to Abu Dhabi and Riga.

The newly added codeshare routes will see airBaltic and Etihad Airways offer 37 connecting return flights per week between Riga and Abu Dhabi.

 

Travel Indochina has launched a revised 32 page 2014-15 Japan Handmade Holidays for Travellers brochure.

The new brochure features 3 new footloose adventures, 6 private tours, a ‘Unique Experiences’ section and 2 pages dedicated to ryokan accommodation.

 

Qantas has introduced a new series of tasting events “Wine and Wheels”, which offers Qantas frequent flyers the chance to enjoy wine and gourmet food.

“Wine and Wheels” brings together gourmet food trucks with Qantas epiQure’s award winning cellar, offering frequent flyers a unique experience to enjoy international food with epiQure’s wine range.

 

Queenstown Mountain Holiday is now offering visitors and locals professional mountains guiding services of New Zealand’s mountains, including guided ascents of Mt Cook, Mt Aspiring and Mt Tasman.

Guided backcountry skiing and helicopter accessed hiking trips will also be offered in the mountain areas of the Southern Alps.

 

Gagudju Dreaming, operators of various Kakadu businesses including the Crocodile Hotel, Cooinda Lodge and Kakadu Adventure Tours, has re-launched as Kakadu Tourism. 

Accompanying the name change is a new logo.

 

InterContinental Hotels Group have announced the appointment of Jayne O’Brien to the position of senior vice president of Global Brands.

O’Brien will be responsible for overseeing brand vision and strategy across IHG’s global portfolio of nine brands.

 

Bench International is now offering a $270 per couple discount for a two-day journey on South Africa’s renowned Rovos Rail.

The journey runs from Pretoria to Cape Town, or vice versa, and the new price is $1550 per person twin share
