Speakman to share the "key to success"
By admin

Travel industry members are being invited to a series of breakfast events with Travel Counsellors chairman and founder David Speakman who will discuss how to adapt and “be successful” in the face of modern challenges.

“Don’t just survive, flourish” will be the key message delivered by Speakman and his Travel Counsellors colleagues commercial director Kirsten Hughes and sales director Malcolm Hingley next month in Melbourne, Sydney and Perth.

“Forget the fact that we are home-based – that’s not the issue,” Speakman said.

“The key to any agent’s success is being allowed to do what they are best at – selling.

“If you take all the administration, marketing and back office work off an agent then they can concentrate on building their business, whether they’re working from home or in an agency office with a shop front.”

Some of the topics on the agenda will be financial protection and how to use psychometrics, psychology, care and the latest technology to overcome the threat of customers booking online.

“Customers now have the tools to book travel arrangements themselves so as an agent you much ask yourself what is your USP?

“It’s not about price; it’s about the value you create in the service you provide. You must connect with each and every one of your customers.”

Anyone interested in attending the events should email connect@travelcounsellors.com.au.
