SAT hosts advance screening of new Mandela movie
By admin

To celebrate the legacy of Nelson Mandela, South African Tourism and South African Airways this week hosted an advance screening of the film tribute Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom.

The screening was enjoyed by almost 100 trade and media personnel at Event Cinemas George Street.

The movie explores Mandela’s 94 years of life, the people and places that he moved, whilst also celebrating his achievements and impact on both South Africa and the world.

It captures Mandela’s journey from his birthplace in Qunu, to his family home with Winnie Mandela in Soweto, to Robben Island and Nobel Square at Cape Town’s V&A Waterfront.

Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom will be officially launched on February 6.
