Fiji Airways completes fleet overhaul
By admin

Fiji Airways has taken delivery of its third and final A330 as it prepares to retire its one remaining fuel-guzzling Boeing 747.

Chief executive Stefan Pichler said the arrival of the aircraft, which completes its long haul fleet transition, will improve scheduled and boost profitability and reliability.

"it is enabling us to introduce a third Fiji-Hong Kong service from December and will enable more direct flights to our key markets, as well as many more connections with partner airlines around the world," he said. "The expansion of the long haul fleet is helping to bring the world to Fiji, opening up new source markets for Fiji tourism and helping to boost the Fijian economy."

Fiji Airways' final 747 flight will be between Los Angeles and Nadi on November 14.
