Tourism Australia has consolidated its position at the most popular tourism destination on Facebook after passing the five million fan milestone.

The agency said social media was now "deeply ingrained" in all its campaigns.

"Social media has become a crucial ingredient to the success of our campaigns, evident in our Best Jobs in the World campaign that was driven largely by social media with 612,000 worldwide applicants," managing director Andrew McEvoy said. "And it will be instrumental again when we launch our new Food and Wine campaign next year."

Four Seasons Hotel Sydney has appointed Rudolf van Dijk as general manager. He joins from the Four Seasons Hangzhou and replaces Vincent Hoogewijs who is relocating to Thailand to manage the Four Seasons Bangkok.

Back-Roads Touring has released a new tour combining the ANZAC Day dawn service in Gallipoli with some of Turkey's top sights and attractions.

The eight day trip departs on April 22 and costs $2731 which includes a saving of $144 if booked before December 15.
