Barking Mad: Dog louder than superjumbo

Barking Mad: Dog louder than superjumbo
By admin

More pressure mounts on Sydney airport to lift the curfew with a dog’s bark now proved to be louder than an Airbus A380.

Charlie the golden retriever from Adelaide just broke the Guinness World Record for the loudest bark, coming in at a whopping 113.1 decibels. The dog's bark is louder than an Airbus A380 on take-off, which clocks in at 97.2 decibels on approach according to data from the UN's International Civil Aviation Organisation.

This means that Charlie is a full 15.9 decibels louder than a super jumbo jet.

Charlie is the first ever Australian dog to make the record book beating his German Shepherd rival from London that was recorded at 108 decibels in 2009.
