Day 4: Williams – Grand Canyon

By now your trip is well underway, having seen the glorious sites of LA and Scottsdale.

Day four kicks off with you watching out for the infamous Cataract Creek Gang, as lowly a group of varmints that ever rode the range!

Then climb aboard the historic Grand Canyon Railway; pass through majestic Ponderosa Pines, the high desert and the Kaibab National Forest while hearing tall tales and folklore about the area.

Keep your eye out for wildlife – it’s not uncommon to spot elk, mule deer and pronghorn antelope sauntering through this wild and woolly region.

Nothing can prepare you for the Grand Canyon, one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World, more than 1.7 billion years in the making. With a Local Expert, learn how the Grand Canyon was formed and examine rock samples from the colorful sedimentary layers formed as the sea washed in again and again. Day 5: Grand Canyon – Las Vegas

Depart the Grand Canyon today, stopping in Seligman and Kingman, Route 66 hotspots that have kept the old Mother Road’s culture alive. Arrive at your hotel located on the famed Strip.

This evening, join your Travel Director for an exciting night on the town! You’ll be amazed by the brilliant Fremont Street Experience, see countless wedding chapels, and, of course, be awed by the most spectacular collection of casino hotels in the world.

There will be plenty of stops along the way to see some of the most extravagant casinos and attractions, each trying to outdo the other. Be prepared for an evening that’s full of surprises!
