      Travel Industry Sales Manager / Business Development Manager

      About the role 

      Market leading publication, Travel Weekly is enjoying a resurgence as the travel sectors wakes up from its COVID-induced slumber. We’re looking for a sales manager to lead our commercial team and work collaboratively with an exciting content team.

      To be suitable for this role you will draw on marketing skills, build sales decks, pitch opportunities to industry contacts, secure deals, retain bookings, attend events, travel overseas and be a known identity within the travel industry. You’ll be the kid of person that contacts, peers and travel industry friends will be desperate to meet up with for coffee, lunch and drinks. In doing so you’ll secure business for Travel Weekly and keep it in its market leading spot.

      About you

      • 3-5 year’s experience within the travel industry (essential)
      • Excellent contacts with wholesalers, tourism boards, airlines, hotels and cruise lines
      • A love of sales and building business
      • Exceptional people skills
      • Strong sense of humour
      • Strong under pressure and used to tight deadlines
      • Resilient
      • Australian residency or visa that allows full time employment within Australia
