“You come to Bali, you just steal, no respect”: Family of tourists caught robbing Bali hotel

Bali hotel and security staff have confronted a family of tourists after they were caught stealing accessories for guests.

Video of the incident, which was posted on Twitter last weekend, shows hotel and security staff opening the guests’ bags and finding hairdryers, coat hangers, soap dispensers and bathroom decorations.

The family, which appear to be embarrassed by the situation, apologise repeatedly to staff while offering to pay for the stolen items.

“It’s not about money,” an employee at the hotel replies.

“I know you have a lot of money. This is no respect. You come to Bali, you just steal, no respect.”

Staff reportedly called local police to the scene, where it’s understood no charges were laid, according to Perth Now.

“The guest acknowledged his mistake and apologised, returned the items taken and compensated for items that have not been found,” police said in a statement reported by Perth Now.
