White Bay to the City in 10 mins

Sydneysiders can now travel from White Bay Cruise Ship Terminal City Ferry to the City in just 10 minutes with Captain Cook Cruises starting from Friday 4th November, 2016.

Decreasing ferry travel time by up to 15 minutes, the boat departs from King Street Wharf No.1 (Barangaroo), made possible by the recent opening of the Wynyard Walk.

The new service provides world-class, accessible access from Wynyard Station transport hub, in the heart of Sydney city, to King Street Wharf and Barangaroo.

The short 6-minute Wynyard Walk provides access to the waterfront, avoiding steep inclines and road crossings for people with a disability, the elderly and people with strollers and luggage.

The King Street Wharf No.1 departure also enables Captain Cook Cruises to operate its White Bay Cruise Ship Terminal Ferry more frequently with ferries running every 15 to 20 minutes and with ferry travelling time reduced to just 10 minutes, compared to up to 25 minutes from Circular Quay.

Captain Cook Cruises, General Manager, Anthony Haworth said “with King Street Wharf No.1 situated immediately adjacent to the fantastic new Barangaroo pedestrian walk ways, it was an easy decision to operate the White Bay Ferry service from King Street Wharf.  The whole transfer process for cruise ship passengers and crew is faster and more efficient, which is a great outcome for our Harbour city.”

The White Bay ferry began service on Friday 27th November 2015, providing the first direct ferry service to and from the city for cruise ship passengers and crew.  The service quickly proved a huge success with over 1000 cruise ship passengers having travelled or booked in the first week of operations.

The White Bay Cruise Ship Terminal City Ferry is priced at $9 one way, per person and operates on cruise ship arrival and departure days between White Bay and King Street Wharf No 1 (Barangaroo) from Friday 4th November, 2016.

Tickets are available for purchase online from www.captaincook.com.au, in person at Captain Cook Cruises ticket offices at Circular Quay, Darling Harbour and White Bay cruise terminal and through participating cruise lines.
