Weekly wrap for the world of cruising
Creative Cruising providing all TTC travellers a $50 voucher
Creative Cruising is offering all travellers who have booked a trip with any of The Travel Corporation’s (TTC) leading family of brands a $50 voucher towards their next cruise.
Valid for all bookings past and present, this offer will get travellers on their way to saving for their next getaway, giving agents the opportunity to lock in a repeat sale even sooner. Clients simply need to have booked a trip with any TTC brand including Trafalgar, Insight Vacations, AAT Kings, Contiki, Uniworld, Adventure World or Busabout. Should they have travelled with Creative Cruising previously, they will also get to take advantage of this incentive towards their next cruise.
Royal Caribbean 2017/2018 deployments
The cruising revolution continues for Royal Caribbean as Ovation of the Seas returns down under for a second season. The company announced highlights of its 2017/18 Australian summer season, including details on the US$1 billion Ovation of the Seas’ second local season. Bookings for the 2017/18 summer season will open Thursday 21 April 2016.
“Australia’s biggest, newest and most technologically advanced cruise ship is returning to our shores for a second season. Ovation of the Seas’ construction has just reached completion – she’s purpose built for our region – so we’re incredibly excited to be offering Aussies more opportunities to experience this revolutionary cruise ship,” said Adam Armstrong, managing director, Royal Caribbean Australasia.
It will be the only cruise line sailing in Australia which offers surfing, sky diving, bumper cars, trapeze lessons, ice skating, Broadway-style shows, cocktails tailor-made by a robot or a choice of 18 different world-class dining options including Jamie’s Italian, the enchanting Wonderland and a fantastic gastro pub, all on the one ship.
Royal Caribbean will also be bringing more ships down under. Together, Ovation of the Seas, Explorer of the Seas, Voyager of the Seas and Radiance of the Seas will offer 66 sailings ranging from two to 23 nights during the 2017/18 season. From September 2017 through to April 2018 the four megaliners will call at 46 ports across Australia, New Zealand, the South Pacific, Asia and North America with departures from Sydney, Fremantle, Auckland, Singapore, Honolulu and Seattle. Royal Caribbean International remains the biggest cruise line in Sydney over the summer season – with bigger ships and more capacity than any other cruise line.
