Schoolies 2016 to hit road with Jeep winner

In a few weeks, some 30,000 Schoolies will make their way to the Gold Coast, with one lucky schoolie driving away in a slick new Jeep Compass simply for booking through schoolies.com.

The dedicated Schoolies booking agent is also giving away a Fijian holiday for the parents, with the big prize being announced at the start of the 2016 celebrations on November 19.

CEO for schoolies.com Matt Lloyd said the excitement was building for Schoolies 2016, with the Jeep and Fiji holiday giveaway putting it on track for one of the most successful events yet.

The biggest prize offer in the company’s 28 year history and has contributed significantly to the very strong booking numbers for 2016, according to Lloyd.

Mr Lloyd said approximately 30,000 students would descend on the Gold Coast alone for Schoolies 2016 from November 19, injecting approximately $48 million into the local economy.

Schoolies will also head off to destinations such as Airlie Beach, Byron Bay, Lorne and the Sunshine Coast.

The Gold Coast’s biggest beach festival, Schoolies Nation, has once again attracted a wave of talent with an awesome line-up of leading DJs including Timmy Trumpet, New World Sound and Bombs Away confirmed for the middle of Schoolies Week.

This year’s third-annual Schoolies Nation Beach Festival is once again powered by official music partner Ministry of Sound, Australia’s largest independent dance music label. Organised by Schoolies.com, the beach festival is part of Schoolies Tour – a seven-night extravaganza featuring 50 plus DJs across four stages, including the beach stage and associated clubs.

Schoolies.com says visiting Schoolies spend on average, $1600 each comprising approximately $600 for accommodation and $1000 for entertainment, food and other items.

Schoolies.com itself contributes over $1.6 million annually on additional security patrols, 24 hour helpline for students, parents and property managers, exclusive Schoolies only events and more.
