NSFW: sexy cruise ad goes viral

A cheeky little ad from Carnival Corporation – which was in fact released in April last year – has gone viral over the last 24 hours, and it borders on NSFW.

The major cruise company has been pushing travellers the world over to lose their “cruise virginity” and get onboard the burgeoning travel trend, which has only been growing skyward for the last few years.

Catching on to the notion that ‘sex sells’, about 100 years after the rest of the advertising industry realised this, Carnival was advertising cruises for its collection of cruise lines, including Carnival Cruises, P&O Australia, Princess Cruises and Cunard Line.

With Australia enjoying yet another healthy cruise season, it’s not the worst approach to encouraging first-time cruisers to give it a try.

Although cruising hasn’t been the best option for everybody – remember old mate from the Gold Coast who tried to sue both Royal Caribbean and his travel agent for not being allowed to board the ship because he didn’t bring his passport.
