Midweek interview with Ted Dziadkiewicz, Chairman ATALA

Ted Dziadkiewicz is Chairman of the Australian Travel Association of Latin America (ATALA).

The challenge for the industry is… communication and shifting through so much information.

The things I like about my job are… meeting new people.

And the frustrations are… finding out what people want.

If I didn’t work in travel I would… probably still be a bus driver.

My favourite airline is… whichever one can get me there in first class.

My proudest moment was… when I celebrated running a business for 40 years.

The naughtiest thing I ever did was… oh I can’t tell you because my wife will read this.

I try to relax by… riding my bike and go to the gym, well…to the sauna.

The last time I feared for my life was… when I travelled very hairy roads of South America more than 40 years ago.

If I can, I always try to avoid… that last drink of red wine.

I really wish I had… more time in the day.

The best advice I’ve ever received was… to be nice to people.

I don’t understand why people are… not patient. Things can’t be done instantly!

My greatest weakness is… not taking holidays.

    My greatest strength is… patience.

If I won a million dollar lottery, I would… give it away.

If I was a prime minister, I would… fire all politicians.

If I could be someone else for a day I would… still be myself. I don’t want to be anyone else.

I’ve always wanted to travel to… Mongolia.

My favourite holiday was… to my homeland, Poland.
