Hawai‘i Tourism Oceania collabs with We Are Explorers for new ad campaign

In a new campaign with We Are Explorers – a group of explorers, writers and photographers – Hawai‘i Tourism Oceania is showcasing the culture, environment, array of experiences, and cuisine of the Island of Hawai‘i.

“The Hawaiian Islands are more than a tropical escape, they are home to a culture with deep roots, life-changing adventures, and a melting-pot of cuisines,” Jennifer Gaskin, account director at Hawai‘i Tourism Oceania said.

“A big focus for us is to attract mindful travellers and encourage them to connect with the people (kamaʻāina) and culture (moʻomeheu) whilst on holidays.”

We Are Explorers

The Hawaiian Islands are a popular holiday destination for Australian and New Zealand travellers with O‘ahu being the most visited island. Hawai‘i Tourism Oceania is encouraging visitors to explore the neighbouring islands as each is unique and has its own distinct personality.

The Island of Hawai‘i is full of adventure, from hiking in the Volcanoes National Park, diving with manta rays to trying the local cuisine and learn about the rich cultural heritage, it is an island worth visiting.

As Tayla Gentle (editor, journalist and content creator) who is the face of the campaign puts it she “discovered a land that puts culture and tradition first and prioritises interconnectedness with the land.”
