G’day Parks team up with Hamish and Andy to promote app

G’day Park’s have launched their newest campaign to promote over 300 regional holiday parks nation wide and they’ve called in the big guns to help.

Rolling out at the end of January, the campaign focuses on the power of the G’day Parks booking app, which sets the standard in the industry, and will be supported by an exclusive sponsorship deal with legendary radio turned podcast duo Hamish & Andy.

G’day Parks will be the exclusive sponsor of Hamish & Andy’s #1 comedy podcast over summer with the pair promoting the ease of booking a getaway with the app. Advertising is not limited to the podcast and will feature across all major radio networks, bus backs, YouTube ads and a range of other digital platforms.

Lahnee White, chief marketing officer, G’day group said the new campaign brings to life the fun of regional travel while demonstrating just how easy it is for Australians to book their next getaway.

“The industry continues to experience a renaissance and is responsible for more holiday nights than any other tourism sector,” White said.

“As the only company in the sector with a dedicated booking app, we wanted to show that G’day Parks provides an easier and more rewarding way for Australians to find and book their next holiday through a fun and cheeky campaign that cuts through to our audience and reflects the personality of our brand.”

We’re thrilled to bring this to life through an exclusive Hamish & Andy sponsorship to launch our new campaign to market and encourage more people to hit the road and uncover the best of our own backyard.”

Joe Godsell, managing director of TBWAAdelaide, the agency behind the new campaign, said they are happy with the project.

“We love this campaign, it is simple, fun, and memorable – echoing what the experience of booking a holiday should be. Its distinctiveness comes through in the brand assets and tone of voice we have developed, which are bang on for a brand like G’day Parks,” Godsell said.

“The Here’s Good! creative platform is a celebration of both how amazing it is to be here in Australia, and just how easy G’day Parks have made it to book up a Holiday Park online. Well done to the entire team for this fun campaign, because sometimes for advertising to be memorable it just needs to be just that – fun!”

The campaign’s media bookings were handled by Carat Australia, a subsidiary of Dentsu International.
